1) Kreator - Enemy Of God 2) Feinstein - Third Wish 3) Adriangale - Crunch 4) TNT - My Religion 5) Europe - Start From The Dark 6) In Flames - Soundtrack To Your Escape 7) Drama Queen Die - Drama Queen Die 8) Dream Evil - The Book Of Heavy Metal 9) George Lynch - Furious George 10) Twsited F*cking Sister - Still Hungry (I know this is kinda of a lame release but Dee Snider just rules)
I might slip equal 10 th for Eguy Hellfire club because Mille From Kreator co sings the title track remix at the end
MY TOP 10 FOR 2004 - Possibly my most diverse ever! So many good releases from so many different genres have knocked me for six this year!!!
1. AVRIL LAVIGNE - Under My Skin (surprise of the year, and album of the year for me! quality collection of pop-rock songs)
2. RICHARD MARX - My Own Best Enemy (what a comeback! this album is pure class!)
3. MEGADETH - The System Has Failed (speaking of comebacks! This is their best in 10 years!)
4. PERSUADER - Evolution Purgatory (kickass thrashy power metal! kinda like early Blind Guardian but heavier and better imho!)
5. THE RASMUS - Dead Letters (Quality Euro melodies! Great positive vibe and catchy as hell!)
6. EUROPE - Start From The Dark (I didn't like this at first but it totally grew on me! Sounds nothing like the Europe of old but is great for different reasons! Heavy and modern vibe!)
7. MAROON 5 - Songs About Jane (a year ago I'd never see myself liking a band like this but it's so funky and melodic - it's hard to resist!)
8. SCORPIONS - Unbreakable (The catchy hooks of 80's Scorps fused with a modern, heavy, downtuned vibe! it works, and it's great!)
9. JEFF SCOTT SOTO - Lost In The Translation (one of the best things the man has done! Plenty of diversity in styles, great lyrics and awesome performances!)
10. ALTER BRIDGE - One Day Remains (The ex-Creed guys! Reminds me of early Alice In Chains or Soundgarden, really good songs with a fantastic singer!)
HONORABLE MENTIONS:Pink Cream 69 - Thunderdome, In Flames - Soundtrack To Your Escape, Hilary Duff - s/t, Edguy - Hellfire Club, Brides Of Destruction - Here Comes The Brides, Axel Rudi Pell - Kings & Queens.
BIGGEST PIECE OF **** IN '04:WASP - The Neon God Parts 1&2 (absolutely disgusting)
I thought it was a very average year for releases, there were only a couple of really good standouts. Here's my best of what i got my hands on in 04.
If only fcuking Z records would release the new Black N'Blue CD "Hell Yeah"!!!!!!!!! hopefully it sees the light of day in 05, also due is an album from reformed Canadian Rockers Gypsy Rose, can't wait for that belter!!!
1) Rick Springfield - Shock/Anger/Denial/Acceptance 2) Jaded Heart - Trust 3) TNT - My Religion 4) Adriangale - Crunch 5) Pink Cream 69 - Thunderdome 6) Orgy - Punk Static Paranoia 7) Edguy - The Hellfire Club 8) Brides Of Destruction - Here Comes The Brides 9) Velvet Revolver - Contraband 10) Dio - Master Of The Moon
I dropped the ball a bit this year with getting some stuff that I wanted when it came out, i'm sure that these titles that I'm yet to get all would have made it into the top ten. Charade - II, Iron Horse - Bring It On, Frontline - The Seventh Sign, In Fact i'm sure Charade and Frontline would have ranked in the top three.

I've hardly got any albums from 2004. My top 2 albums of the year though would be:
1. Pink Cream 69 - Thunderdome (UNREAL, almost as good as Sonic Dynamite) 2. Edguy - Hellfire Club (their best album yet along with Mandrake)
I'm dying to hear the new Adriangale, Jeff Scott Soto and Jaded Heart because I'm sure they would be awesome and probably fill out my top 5 but I just haven't got around to it yet! I'm curious to hear the latest Dokken too, heard mixed reviews about it...
I thought the Brides album was disappointing and I only like 2 songs off it (I Got A Gun and I Don't Care), and I also got the new TNT album with high hopes because everybody had been saying how unreal it is and some people even saying its their best and most consistent album ever but I was disappointed. It's a pretty good album though and there are a couple of really good songs like Lonely Nights, but it's really not all that good. Tony Harnell sounds awesome again though...
The new Megadeth album isn't bad either... there are a few great tracks on it.
And When Hell Sleazes Over is probably the 2004 CD I listen to the 2nd most after Pink Cream 69.
Lauren - Yeah Orgy have a new CD out called "Punk Static Paranoia", i'm not sure if it's out here at all in Australia, because it's been put out independantly by them and distributed in the US by their former label. So their label has no motive to put it out down here.
I bought it in LA when i was their in March this year, even then i had to go looking for it and know it was out. It was pretty off the radar. It's simular to Vapor Transmission, but i dont think the songs are as catchy, and there are a lot less 80's keyboards, i like the heyboards on Vapor... so this is another reason i did'nt like it as much. However it is miles better than Candyass, which i thought was a pretty average CD.
I would try Peril Underground in the City, Peter will probably have it there, if you still have trouble I can copy it for you to tie you over until u track it down if you like.
Trent - Great to hear that "When Hell Sleazes Over" gets a good run on the player!!!, As for the TNT new Cd , i agree it's no where near the quality or briliance of Tell No Tales or Intuition, or even close to Realized Fantasies or Knights Of The New Thunder, but i do think it is better than Firefly and Transistor, which this CD is coming off the back of. My expectations were very low, this could be why i actually think that it's pretty good.

I like it, I think its a good album too but I had high expectations because I bought it after reading "It's their best album yet!" from about 50 people on Heavy Harmonies and other sites like that. I think as the album goes on the quality gets worse though, the best songs are near the start. I don't play it much, when I do it's always better than I remembered it but I just never really feel the need to put it on much.
Also I haven't bothered with Transister or Firefly because I've only heard bad things about them, so I only have Knights of The New Thunder, Tell No Tales and Intuition to compare it to because they are the 3 TNT albums I have.
A Word of advise!! never listen to critics, check it out for yourself Trnsister i personally thought rocked, others dont. Then again i like Warrants 4th release! But not thier 5th ... god that was aweful
1. EUROPE - Start From The Dark (Joey Tempest is surely one of the greatest vocalists in rock!) 2. LOUDNESS - Racing (Their best since the 80's...Akira is on fire on this one!) 3. VELVET REVOLVER - Contraband (A perfect amalgam of two lesser bands!) 4. TESLA - Into The Now (Who would've thought..gone are the country ho-downs - this rocks!) 5. JIMMY EAT WORLD - Futures (Best power-pop band since Cheap Trick.. ) 6. TNT - My Religion (Fantastic return to form!) 7. AEROSMITH - Honkin' On Bobo (Just what the doctor ordered after the abysmal Just Push Play!) 8. DOKKEN - Hell To Pay (Solid album from a consistent band!) 9. PRIMAL FEAR - Devil's Ground (Another great album only overshadowed by the previus release!) 10. HILARY DUFF - S/T (Believe it or not this album is great..spewin' I missed the gig!) Also a big mention must go to the best release of 2004 Bon Jovi's boxset which can't really be counted a s a new album even though most of it hadn't previously been released....
