Why are Kiss fans so damn ignorant to the fact that there is no statistical proof behind their retarted claims that KISS is the best band in the world???
Give me just one fact to back it up and i'll be on my way!!!!!

You don't need statistical proof for a band to be your FAVOURITE band. They are my favourite band. It's just about how the band & their music makes you feel. I personally find KISS to be the most exciting band and have the most fun live shows and the biggest catalogue of songs that I love and my favourite singer/songwriter of all time and they are also the reason I play guitar and the reason I am so much into hard rock music. They are the ultimate rock band for me.
There is no such thing as a "best band in the world", so obviously there is also no such thing as statistical proof that any band could be the best band in the world. People always throw around phrases like "So and so are the best in the world!" but its obviously not to be taken literally, and personally I reckon to take something like that literally is alot stupider than saying it. That's like saying "Oh my god do you have a spare pair of pants?" when somebody says they pi$$ed themselves laughing.
Theres no doubt Kiss have been hugely influential and written some great songs and are many peoples favorite band/circus act..but I DO know alot of people who will argue they are the BEST...is it coz Gene keeps telling everyone they are!??!?!

Heh.. I don't even like Gene Simmons. Though reading Kiss & Makeup he can be motivational at times about living the life you want to live and getting what you want etc. But when it comes to KISS I don't like most of the decisions he makes and I don't like alot of the songs he writes and I don't even like his voice except in the odd song where it is needed, and on the really early albums.
To me, its all about Paul Stanley. He is my ultimate rock idol!
I'm sure there are KISS fans who will argue that they are the best but you get that with every band. Especially Pantera fans haha.
I'm with Trent 100%. I don't like Gene much, he is an **** lol, but Paul is great! Kiss are probably my favourite band,and my fave band live, but it's not like I shove it down anyone's throat, I love heaps of other bands, whether they be glam, power metal, thrash, anything! I buy their merch coz I wanna support the band n coz it's my life and I buy/do/like whatever I want, not coz Gene tells me to! If Kiss hyperthetically sucked, then I wouldnt buy diddley-squat.
I just finished Kiss;Behind the Make Up?? I think that was the title or was it Mask, ah I can't remember.
While I was reading it not only did it dawn on me how much they achieved in their careers but just how much i like them, i can be kind of on the back foot sometimes with Kiss because I have to agree that some of their fans are a little weird. So i am pretty low key about how much i like them.
But while i was plowing through this book, i was reminded of all the different eras and songs that i love.
I have my favourite era's for sure Dynasty/Unmasked period is the fave for costumes and and outfits, but Animalize/Asylum/Crazy Nights is my fave for songs, probably because that's when Paul took the reigns and wrote most of his tracks with Desmond Child.
So I think Kiss are great, however some of their fans can be a little one-eyed sometimes I agree.

Can't say I'm really into Kiss, although I do think 'Forever' is an amazing song.
I had the pleasure of meeting Gene and Eric Singer a few years ago ... get this ... while I was hiring videos in Richmond ! Gene was picking out movies while Eric was waiting at the counter ... I guess he was contractually obliged to watch what Gene picked out for him ! haha ... Anyway, they were both really cool to me, Gene asked if I was hiring porno; to which I replied "No; but I sure as hell won't be hiring Detroit Rock City" He seemed to appreciate my sense of humour and had no problems signing a piece of paper - which is now on display (behind Sash's head) at Metal Mayhem.
A friend and I scored second-row (back stage) passes to that show and I thought they, as a band; we're pretty damn ordinary... but, hey ... it was entertaining I guess.
Kiss are the sorta band (with all respect to those intelligent ones out there) who attract a strong following of idiots; along with Bon Jovi and Metallica ... they seem to attract pig-headed, single-sighted morons who blindly worship them no matter what crap they release (and re-release, and re-re-release as a special edition ... then release again with a bonus dvd; then an 'ultimate fans edition' ... then ...) hahaha.
But; hey ... that's 'pop culture' for ya.

Ya kno some Kiss fans really overdo it, and there are some weirdos who dont like anything else...no other bands or anything...except Kiss, n they got ALL the merch n stuff. That's wierd and ****ed lol. There's a difference between loving a band, and just being mental!

Jules: Yeah it's awesome when ur just reminded of how much u love a particular band, and Kiss have a variety of great eras, and in my opinion, not one 'dud' album, I luv em all!
