he looks more like a little dog or a ferrit, he can play those drums damn well.
And those first four Metallica CD's are just freakin killer. pity he plays tin cans on St.Anger, drums that actually sound good may have helped that disaterpiece.

I dont really like the Black Album, i can take it or leave it.
To me they seemed to change style a bit and all of the things that i loved about Metallica that were different to others seemed to be no longer at the forefront of their music, and as a result i guess i did'nt like their music pretty much from then on.

It's mainly their own fault, but I think people forget how great of a band Metallica once were... People who are musicians and who know their **** now talk about them like they're just sellout whores, which is true to an extent, but fu(k, when they were at their peak, NOBODY touched them at what they did... don't you think?
Al - I'm with you champ - nobody could touch them there for a while.
I must admit I love the black album - musically I think it's their best release - but hey, that's just my humble opinion. Each to their own I say. And while some of those hardcore fans (and yes, I was listening to them long before some of you were born!!) still mope and complain that they long for more Battery, I'll be neckin' stubs to Of Wolf And Man and Harveter Of Sorrow just thankful for the variety.

Sycth-man im sure he would if he actually painted them!
Anyway he got a ****load for them, just thought i would set you straight buddy!
ah - well, when i saw it with Jules we both walked away believing he painted them. sorry, my error.
it wouldn't be that far fetched - i reckon they were crap. well, that's even more reason to have left that self indulgant part of the doco out. i'm sure he did other things during james "time off" that the fans would prefer to see. then again, we are talking about Lars which i think, in essence, pretty much sums him up.
