10 Albums you cant live without

Here is a question for everyone, and one i'd like to see the guys from the band answer.

What are ten albums that you can't live without?

Here is mine:

Britny Fox - Britny Fox
Cinderella - Night Songs
Poison - Look What The Cat Dragged In
Motley Crue - Theatre Of Pain
Guns N Roses - Appetite For Destruction
Ratt - Invasion Of Your Privacy
Def Leppard - Hysteria
Faster Pussycat - Wake Me When It's Over
Bulletboys - Bulletboys
Skid Row - Slave to the Thrill

It's never easy, there are always ones you feel you can't leave out, i give a few mentions to:
Firehouse-Firehouse, Trixter-Trixter and Southgang - Tainted Angel.

Rockit! Yeah!
Labar.

That's a very good list. I can't make a top 10 because its too hard so I'll just list about 10 albums that I definitely wouldn't wanna be without, but there are a ton more that I probably like just as much as most of them.

Vain - No Respect
Vinnie Vincent Invasion - Vinnie Vincent Invasion
Queensryche - Operation: Mindcrime
Bon Jovi - Slippery When Wet
Kane Roberts - Saints & Sinners
Harem Scarem - Harem Scarem
KISS - Alive!
Shotgun Messiah - Shotgun Messiah
Motley Crue - Too Fast For Love
Ratt - Invasion Of Your Privacy

And also I'd make a double CD compilation of non-makeup era KISS songs sung by Paul Stanley!!!! That'd get played the most by far. '80s Paul Stanley KISS is my favourite music ever but I couldn't just pick a single album coz my fave songs are spread across them all.

Labar, Slave To The Thrill is Hurricane... I think you mean Slave To The Grind hehe. Great list though :)

Top Tens, you can never have too many can ya???

sheeez Louise, this is gonna be near on impossible to get down to ten albums.
Here is my best shot anyway.

Black N Blue - Black N Blue
Black N Blue - Nasty Nasty
Black N Blue - Without Love
Black N Blue - In Heat
Keel - Keel
Ratt - Out Of The Cellar
Icon - Night Of The Crime
Shake The Faith - America The Violent
Bon Jovi - Slippery when Wet
Fate - Scratch N Sniff

If I had to have only one release per band the other three cd's that would replace Black N Blue are - Dokken - Under Lock And Key, Warrant - DRFSR, Motley Crue - Too Fast For Love.

This is impossible, there's just way too many great albums.

arr, The Hammer???

Do you even like The Deadthings music???
just find it odd that nothing in your top ten is remotely close to anything that the band sounds like. I can already see in another post that you have some affection for Leigh Van Hell, but is that it.

Hey Anvil, i appreciate that The Hammer is Van Hell's brother, in fact because of that maybe you can appreciate this...

Why is it that you have to have a go at my top ten??? I just asked The Hammer a question?
I did'nt comment whether his top ten was "better" than mine or not.

If you guys are suppossed to be friends with Van Hell and the rest of the band why do start fights and pick on the fans who post on their site??? Don't say you don't because i've seen the stuff that you have done before on the old guestbook.

I thought this forum was going really well, but If that's how this is gonna be I won't be hanging around.

Oh yeah and about my top ten, the last time i checked I'm pretty sure the guys in the band were fans of the stuff that i listen to also.

Nice work, way to treat the bands fans.

Man all i wrote was 2 facts! 1 Fact being that The hammer is VAN HELLS brother, and 2 that his top 10 was better than any of the stuff that people had posted. Now that's my opinion and you my may not agree, I dont care but i felt that his top 10 was UNREAL. Also about having a go at the fans on this forum, thats a load of crap. I never bagged you I just stated hard cold facts!!

Get over it!

Cheers,

THE ANVIL!!!

Hey VAN HELL I agree with needing to have differnt top 10's for the types of music its pretty hard to fit them all in isnt it? Cheers

Forum: "A public meeting or presentation involving a discussion usually among experts and often including audience participation".

O.k.- so we're not experts but I'm guessing the definition should also say "in a respectful manner". Having read the Labar/Anvil comments, I must confess that I think Anvil, you could have been more diplomatic in your response. Differing tastes and insightful discussion will make this forum worth visiting - otherwise I too will not bother. Sorry champ, it's not the intention but how it's interpreted - much like the law's governing sexual harassment (for the record).

No-one should feel they have to defend their points of view when answering a question posed to all members. I for one am grateful for any-one that takes the time to join the Forum as a member. There's plenty of other websites they could be on. And I'm sure the rest of the band is as well so I will throw my 2 cents in when I feel it is warranted. I invite anyone to let me know if I am being unreasonable.

Labar, I'm not sure if I've met you or not but I can confirm that I listened to most of that stuff in my high school daze and loved every minute of it. It may not be where I am at now, but it helped me get here.

Back to business - Top 10. Oh and for the record, feel free to bag them as they will be somewhat different from the above posts............but be mindful that I probably I won't care what you think and you're clearly not thinking straight!!  hehe. So - Scythe's top 10.......for now:

Riverdogs - Absolutely Live

Zakk Wylde - Book Of Shadows

Pride & Glory - Self Titled

Talisman - Humanimal

KISS - Alive 1

KISS - Alive 2

Rob Lamothe - Gravity

Danger Danger - The Return of the Great Gilder sleeves

Harem Scarem - Mood Swings

Hardline - Double Eclipse

Note: Would also try to smuggle in a mixed 80's retro compilation (a time capsule of the great decade).

I love Double Eclipse and think its a great album but I think it's slightly overrated too. There are tons of albums I like better than it...

The first Harem Scarem is my fave by them. Mood Swings has some of my fave songs by them (and the best guitar stuff on it) but start to finsh, the debut is THE album to me. It's almost perfect...
